In order to have a well functioning chatbot, traffic plays a very important role. Let's make sure you can get the most out of it by promoting your chatbot. Here are some insights on how your  promotion can look like.

Online promotion initiatives

You can reach potential candidates by sharing the link to the chatbot. By clicking the link, candidates are directly involved in the interaction with the chatbot.

Which channels can you use to promote the chatbot?

  1. Facebook: If you have implemented a Facebook Messenger chatbot you can run ads on the platform with a CTA leading directly to the start of the conversation with the chatbot.

  2. LinkedIn: You can use LinkedIn posts to reach candidates that look for jobs on the platform. Lots of potential candidates might not look for job openings on your career page but use platforms like LinkedIn or Xing.

  3. Other Social Media: You can use your existing channels like Twitter, Instagram and such to promote the chatbot. You can use links or QR codes on posts or in Instagram stories.

  4. Email: Promoting the chatbot with email campaigns can help bring awareness to the chatbot and job openings as well. As a recruiter you can also promote the chatbot on your email signature.

  5. Your own website: You can place announcements in a form of banners or similar on your website to promote the chatbot and link to the subpage or platform where the chatbot is located. You can place a banner on your website with a link to the chatbot subpage. This way it can be seen on your whole career page. Be sure to mention that the chatbot is suitable for a specific area or job target group if applicable to manage expectations of your users.

  6. Blog post: You can promote your chatbot as well by writing a blog post or PR announcement and share it with your potentials users (in newsletter, LinkedIn, and so on).

  7. Call to Action: Enhance your call to action. It helps bringing awareness and traffic to the chatbot.

Offline promotion initiatives

  1. Print visuals. Be careful that everything is spelling error-free and it does show the link/code/contact to the chatbot. Are the visuals accessible to everyone?

  2. Advertisements. Can be placed everywhere, eg. on public train stations or in public transport. Make sure to place an QR Code on the ad that links directly to the chatbot.

  3. Career fairs/events. for all the shy candidates who may be, for example, scared to ask certain questions you can take the chatbot with you. Invite them to scan the QR code and start the conversation with the chatbot to learn more about the company and the current job openings.
